Intermediate Dancers Programme 
With Jacqui Jamal!!  

Commencing on Sept 12th with a brand new programme of professional level classes for the new academic year!

The intermediate programme will run from 8 – 9.30pm on Tuesdays and will be suitably demanding*.
There will be two specialist workshops during the year, as part of the programme and these will be with nationally recognised ‘stars’.

Content:

Before the first class of each term a weekly break–down of content will be circulated.

Autumn term will focus on Modern Cairo technique, including walks, directional focus and changes, accents, mini-combinations, veil and tabla.
I am delighted that Heather Burby is confirmed for October 17th to teach a specialist workshop covering combinations of travelling steps including complex floor patterns and changing direction.

Spring Term will continue from the autumn term by adding in influences from Egyptian regional dances, from historical perspectives and influences of Egyptian stars.

Summer Term we will concentrate on choreography with influences from other world dances.

Top-Up Programme:

You can top up your skills in any specific area by referring to the programme and dropping in on a 7 or 7.30 pm class.
  
Anyone not having the required level of technique, either general or specific will be asked to attend for temporary additional technique preparation on the top up programme. This is a great opportunity to top up your skills in areas that you have missed.

Pricing:

To reflect the re-launch there is a revised pricing structure which is effectively a rise of about 18p an hour. There is also a revised discount structure from which you can benefit should you wish so that the value of your classes will go down not up!

To simplify registration:

You will be able to pay by the week, month (on the first Tuesday of the month), term or year. You will not be able to pay in other ways or at other times. Should you wish to set up a standing order into Jacqui’s account you will qualify for a further 5% discount. This order may be terminated at any time you wish and any accidental overpayments would of course be refunded immediately.

Weekly class:

8 - 9.30 pm £10.
Specialist visiting dancer workshop 8-10pm (one per term) £20, publicised in advance.

Monthly Payments:

Variations reflect number of classes in each month. Prices include automatic free access to the top up programme (7 – 8pm) and include the specialist workshop. Payment will be due on the first class of each month as follows:

December 5th £20
January 16th £30
February 6th £40 (specialist workshop)
March 6th £40
April 3rd £20
May 8th £30
June 5th £40
July 3rd £40

Termly payments:

Aut: £115 (13 weeks)
Spring: £105 (12 weeks)
Summer: £90 (11 weeks)
Note: includes class and specialist workshop discounts as well as free access to top up:

Top Up Programme

£5 per hour, £3 per half hour.
Note: Anyone paying for a course (min: monthly payment scheme) is automatically entitled to attend these sessions free of charge.

New Option:

Yearly payment: one-off payment in Sept 06: £300:
Fee covers all classes and specialist workshops, plus free selected access to master classes by prior agreement with Jacqui. 
The programme for master classes will be published in advance and will include make-up, costuming and colour, lighting, staging, advertising, styles of the stars, writing reviews, etc. These classes will normally take the form of a talk by Jacqui and will take place from 9.30 – 10pm.

Refunds:

In the case of Jacqui being ill, a suitable replacement will be found.
Course payments will be refunded in cases of prolonged illness.
If at any time you decide that the course it not for you, a negotiated refund will be made, relating to course time and facilities not yet obtained.
A refund will be negotiated in cases of valid dissatisfaction with course content. i.e. ‘It did not do what it said on the bottle!’
Refunds or referred payments can only be negotiated in special circumstances.
