Jacqueline
Jamal is loved for her breathtaking, innovative dancing and
inspirational teaching. Locally, her annual shows at Bristol
Community Festival have achieved cult status and she returns to QEH
after 'Dancing Girls', 'The Secret Life of a Belly Dancer', and
'Forbidden Fruit'. She has produced two beautiful films, available
on VHS. |

Medea Mahdavi has evolved a highly individual style of dance theatre,
incorporating Persian and other Middle Eastern dance styles with
music and words. She is instrumental in developing traditional
Iranian dance into an expressive contemporary art form. Medea has
won a Regional Arts Lottery award for her forthcoming dance theatre
production. |

Robyn
Friend has
delighted audiences from Alaska to Anatolia with her traditional
dances from Iran, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, and her
interpretations of classical Persian and Turkish songs and poetry.
Her performances have been produced, on television, on video
('Dances of Iran'), and on CD ('Siegel and Friend - Mostly Live'). |
