Cyril is a spider. He is a common house spider that lives in our bathroom. He keeps himself to himself and we leave him alone. Sometimes, at night, we see him scurry across the floor as he runs to hide from us. We know he is there and we like him.

Cyril keeps the other bugs away. Well, he doesn't actually keep them away, but when they do come, he is waiting. Alone, he must consume a good few pounds of bugs from our home. I'm not saying that our home is bug infested, he he, but in a year, there may be thousands of individual bugs entering any home and without a good spider to keep the numbers down, we would be infested.

Cyril eats flies, dragonflies, bees, wasps, ants, beetles, other spiders, silver fish, woodlice, butterflies and other creepy crawlies.

I like Cyril.
